A member of the staff has been dug out of debris after the roof collapsed at a north Wales convenience store.

Emergency services were called to the Spar store on Plas yn Dre Street in Dolgellau on Saturday at 12:55pm as a part of the roof had collapsed into the shop with four people inside at the time.

Two members of staff and one member of the public were able to escape the store. However one member of staff was dug out of the location and has since been taken to hospital by the Ambulance Service with what are believed to be minor injuries, police said.

A police cordon remained in place at the town centre following the incident.

Police confirmed later on Saturday that the search had concluded and all people had been accounted for.

    An investigation was launched.
