Founder of a leading Harrow-based wholesaler of FMCG products has been honored on Friday (26) at House of Commons at an event held to celebrate the contributions and achievements of the British Asian community.

Entrepreneur Sanjeet Manek, who is the founder of Sandea Wholesale, was honoured in the category of The Rising Star award at the event which was held to recognize and celebrate accomplished British Asian individuals from various sectors who are at the top of their respective arenas.

The event was also attended by Virendra Sharma MP, Feryal Clark MP, Seema Malhotra MP FRSA, and James Murray MP, among other dignitaries, further adding to the grandeur of the evening.

Based in Harrow, London, Sandea Wholesale Ltd is a specialised wholesaler that offers more than 5,000 stock-keeping unit (SKU) of market-leading European branded Fast-Moving Consumer Goods (FMCG), Over-the-Counter Medicines (OTC), Cosmetics and Toiletries.

In reference of the recent recognition, Manek said, "First and foremost, I would like to thank God for his never-ending grace during what ended up being one of the toughest journeys in my career. I am humbled and appreciative for this recognition.

"This accomplishment is not something that I did alone, there are many others who have been instrumental in helping me to achieve this award. I would like to thank my family and my team for their endless love, encouragement and support and I am truly grateful for all you have done."

After spending 13 years in investment banking, Manek embarked on his entrepreneurial journey with the launch of Sandea Wholesale which he established at the height of the Covid-19 pandemic.
