    Robert Eastwood, Qaiser Aziz join Unitas board

    Unitas Wholesale has appointed two new directors to its board, replacing Andrew Wild and James Russell who stood down.

    At the annual general meeting of the wholesale buying group, held on 24 November, Robert Eastwood, managing director of Small Beer Ltd based in Lincoln, was elected to the board to replace Wild, representing the On Trade division and Qaiser Aziz, trading director of Global Foods Ltd based in Cardiff, was elected, replacing Russell as one of the Retail representatives.

    “I am pleased that Rob and Qaiser have joined the already strong board of Unitas. They both run excellent businesses and will bring a wealth of experience and knowledge to the Board and I look forward to working with them both,” Mark Aylwin, Unitas Chairman, said.

    “I would like to take this opportunity to thank Andrew and James for the tremendous support they have provided since joining the Board and wish them every success for the future”.

    John Kinney, managing director, added: “We are very grateful to both Andrew and James for their expertise, support and knowledge of their respective channels during their time as board members and wish them all the very best for the future and I look forward to working with Rob and Qaiser during the coming months.”
