The retail industry can look forward to an influx of £104 million from football fans watching the Women’s Euros Semi-finals, according to a new report.

The Women’s Euro 2025 Spending Report, by VoucherCodes.co.uk, forecasts football fans will spend £79.6m during England’s match against Italy alone - this includes £69.8m on food and drink from grocery retailers.

Across both Semi-final matches, 7 million people are forecast to make a retail purchase, with most stocking up on food and drink (£88.2m).

Consumers will also be purchasing decorations (£2.5m), electricals (£2.5m), merchandise (£4.1m), and sportswear (£6.8m) over the penultimate stage of the Women’s Euros tournament.

Michael Brandy, Senior Commercial Director at VoucherCodes.co.uk, comments: “With England performing well, more and more fans are getting into the football spirit and choosing to host larger watch parties. This is great news for the retail industry, who can take advantage of the hype to drive sales and engage consumers.”

“Whether you’re looking to boost sales, or grow awareness for your brand and products, the Women’s Euros is a great tool to capture consumer attention.

"Offer Euros deals and discounts, team up with an affiliate like VoucherCodes, or simply promote any Euros stock to draw customers in - it’s a great opportunity to reach a highly engaged audience of football fans.”
