Three men from Poole have been charged following a reported attempted robbery at a convenience store in Sea View Road, Poole.
Dorset Police responded to the incident at the Premier shop, where it was alleged that two men with a suspected firearm entered and demanded money from the till.
A staff member was reportedly assaulted and sustained minor injuries, but no money was taken. Officers arrested three men after enquiries.
A 39-year-old man faces charges including attempted robbery, possession of a firearm with intent to cause fear of violence, robbery at a Subway store in Ringwood Road, making off without payment at St Peters Finger pub in Lytchett Minster, making threats to kill, burglary with intent to commit grievous bodily harm, and affray in Corfe Mullen.
A 40-year-old man was charged with attempted robbery at the Premier store, robbery at the Subway store, and making off without payment in Lytchett Minster.
A 45-year-old man was charged with attempted robbery at the Premier store and making off without payment in Lytchett Minster.
All three were due to appear at Poole Magistrates’ Court sitting at Bournemouth Crown Court.
Detective Inspector Jon Sainsbury said charges were secured after detailed enquiries and urged the public not to speculate online while court proceedings are ongoing.
