Asian Traders Ltd, a Hayes, Middlesex-based distributor of Indian food products, has issued a recall for Parle Premium Rusk because it has been found with traces of Milk which is not mentioned on the label.
This makes the product a possible health risk for anyone with an allergy or intolerance to milk or milk constituents.
The company has issued a point-of-sale notice to its customers, and will also be contacting relevant allergy support organisations, which will tell their members about the recall.
Shoppers who have an allergy or intolerance to milk or milk constituents are advised not to eat it. They can return the product to the store from where it was bought for a full refund (with or without a receipt).
