One Stop is rolling out a new online order management system across more than 240 franchise stores this Autumn, as the convenience retailer looks to improve operational efficiency and support growth in home delivery sales.
The Tesco-owned business is introducing an order aggregation platform powered by Deliverect, enabling franchisees to manage orders from Deliveroo, Just Eat, Uber Eats and Snappy Shopper through a single device.
The technology replaces the need for retailers to operate separate devices for individual delivery platforms, bringing order processing, picking and fulfilment into one system.
One Stop said the rollout would help franchise partners reduce administrative workloads, minimise picking errors and lower staff training costs through a standardised order fulfilment process.
The platform also provides sales and performance reporting, allowing retailers to monitor trading patterns and identify opportunities to increase online revenue.
One Stop will cover the monthly integration fees associated with the system, removing an additional operating cost for franchise partners.
Tim Josephs, head of online at One Stop, said: “Online delivery continues to create significant growth opportunities for independent retailers. By providing our franchise partners with access to a proven and successful order aggregation solution, we’re helping them improve operational efficiency by simplifying the day-to-day management of online orders, while also providing actionable business insights via our state-of-the-art dashboard.
“The solution gives stores greater visibility of their performance, enabling them to identify sales trends, uncover growth opportunities and make more informed business decisions. Best of all, we’re protecting franchisees’ margins by covering all monthly integration fees.”
The system also includes stock management and product scanning functionality, designed to improve order accuracy and reduce customer refund claims.
The rollout follows trials at selected franchise locations, including a One Stop store in Erdington operated by franchise partner Raj Sangha.
Sangha said: “The biggest benefit for us has been simplicity. Managing online orders across different delivery platforms used to be time-consuming, but having everything brought together in one system has transformed our day-to-day operations. It has improved efficiency for colleagues and made a noticeable difference to the overall customer experience.”
One Stop is providing onboarding assistance and training to support franchisees adopting the technology.
The investment forms part of the retailer’s wider franchise development strategy, which includes providing independent operators with access to online delivery services, negotiated commission rates and operational support.
The company said the latest rollout would help franchise partners respond to demand for rapid grocery delivery while improving order management and creating opportunities to generate additional sales.
