Walsall to get Heart of Community donation

PHANW receiving £2,500 donation from Nisa Local Walsall for safety and wellbeing projects

Nisa boosts Walsall safety with £2.5K PHANW donation

Park Hall Area Neighbourhood Watch (PHANW) has received a generous £2,500 donation from Midland Motor Fuels Ltd, operators of a Nisa Local store in Walsall, as part of Co-op Wholesale’s Making a Difference Locally (MADL) Heart of the Community initiative.

The funding, donated directly by the store, will support PHANW’s efforts to enhance community safety and wellbeing across the Park Hall area. Recognised as one of the most proactive Neighbourhood Watch groups in the UK, PHANW plans to use the donation to deliver a number of local improvements.

These include increasing visibility of the group through the installation of new Neighbourhood Watch signs and providing essential safety items, such as torches, to vulnerable residents. The group also aims to improve road safety by enhancing lighting in key areas and supplying blind spot mirrors, as well as offering first aid training to local residents to help build resilience in emergency situations.

“This donation will have a real and lasting impact on our community," said a spokesperson for PHANW. "Thanks to Pete and the team at Nisa Local, we can continue to strengthen safety and wellbeing for all our residents.”

The donation forms part of the Heart of the Community funding initiative within MADL, which enables Co-op Wholesale retail partners to support impactful local projects through their own charitable giving.
