Nisa to offer £5 family-feeding fish supper

Nisa is providing partners with a family-feeding fish supper for five pounds to help drive
    frozen sales this month.

With frozen accounting for a 5.2 percent share of the total grocery market, it is crucial that retailers are identifying opportunities to increase sales in the key category as we inch closer to the hot summer months.

To help, Nisa is equipping partners with a new £5 freezer-filling deal this week which
comprises McCain Naked Oven Chips Straight 750g, Birds Eye Battered Fish 2pk, Birds Eye
Crispy Batter Fish Fingers 8pk, Birds Eye Garden Peas 375g, and a Viennetta Vanilla
650ml, saving shoppers almost 60 percent off the RRP.

“Shoppers purchasing long-life frozen lines are typically doing so to save money and provide the family with a fulfilling evening meal that doesn’t break the bank,” said Nisa’s Wholesale Category Controller for frozen, Ian Redhead.

“We’re finding that many consumers are paying more attention to sustainability issues when shopping and frozen food, with its proven ability to cut food waste, is perfectly positioned to help.”

Last month Nisa launched a new 56-page category brochure, providing partners with a suite of support, advice, and resources to help make the very best of frozen in the months leading up to the summer period.

Packed with merchandising tips, planogram recommendations, data insights, cool deals and
information about hot new products, the guide helped to shine an early light on the
importance of the category, particularly in today’s recessionary environment.

“Having the right frozen range will help to drive basket spend and supports a variety of key
shopper missions including main shop, top-ups, and meal for tonight. And the £5 freezer-
filling deal that is made available to partners each period caters to each of those missions,
making it a key sales driver,” added Redhead.

The new freezer deal will be available in stores from May 11-31.
