Nisa retailers save 100,000 meals with Too Good To Go

Nisa’s independent retailers have helped save 100,000 meals through the symbol group’s partnership with surplus food app Too Good To Go, which equates to a saving of 250 tonnes of Co2e.

Launched in 2019, the partnership now has 300 Nisa stores signed up to the app.

The app presents retailers with a useful tool to drastically reduce the amount of food waste in store whilst offering a helping hand to the community by sharing cut price products at a time when the cost of living is a real issue.

“Every Nisa store that has so far partnered with Too Good To Go have given positive feedback about how simple the app is to use and the impact on the local community,” Ian Bacon, Nisa’s lead for the partnership with Too Good To Go, said.

“We are all very aware of the cost-of-living crisis and the Too Good To Go app is one way that Nisa retailers can offer support to their shoppers really effectively.”

Every week well over 1,000 meals are saved across Nisa stores with recent figures showing more than 1,300 being saved weekly.
