National Lottery retailers get set for tonight's £185m EuroMillions jackpot

  • The jaw-dropping jackpot could make the UK's second-biggest ever winner if won by a single ticket-holder
  • Retailers can expect around a 90% sales uplift*

National Lottery operator Allwyn is again supporting retailers ahead of tonight's (30 May) spectacular £185m EuroMillions jackpot. If one lucky UK ticket-holder was to scoop the entire life-changing sum, they would instantly become one of the UK's biggest National Lottery winners of all time.

In the lead-up to tonight's 7.30pm purchase cut-off, Allwyn has said that retailers can expect a steep rise in store footfall and a 90 per cent sales uplift*. Allwyn has rushed out "Over £150m" posters to tens of thousands of stores and the huge jackpot is also being supported on in-store media screens and with above-the-line advertising – including in newspapers and on radio.

Not only could the mega winner enjoy the lifestyle of the super-rich, but with 30 May being National Creativity Day, it’s a chance for them to find new, imaginative ways to make a massive difference to the people, community and causes they care about. Whether that's supporting loved ones’ interests, investing in a creative project, or donating to a charity close to their heart.

“The incredible EuroMillions jackpot has now reached a jaw-dropping £185m, presenting significant sales and footfall opportunities for National Lottery retailers," said Allwyn’s Head of Field Sales, Karl Southworth. "On this National Creativity Day, it’s also a great way to get customers talking about all the inventive ways they could indulge their creative interests and dreams.

“As always, by selling National Lottery tickets, our retail partners aren't just giving their customers the chance to win big or boosting their bottom lines. They're also helping to raise more than £30m every week for National Lottery-funded Good Causes – so it really is a win-win."
