Massingberd-Mundy Distillery in the Lincolnshire Wolds has unveiled three limited edition small batch craft gins for 2021.
Starting with a special oak aged edition of its Burrell’s Dry Gin, the distillery will be producing two more limited edition spirits in time for Halloween and Christmas, with only 150 bottles of each gin being produced.
“Last summer, we launched our first two gins, Burrell’s and Marie Jeanne’s and the reception from customers, reviewers and the wider drinks industry has been amazing. This year, we’re doing something a little different and launching three exciting new gins in very limited numbers,” Tristan Jørgensen, Massingberd-Mundy Distillery’s head distiller, said.
“The gins will demonstrate the huge variety of flavours and styles of gin and set out to offer a unique twist to the country’s favourite spirit. I’m really enjoying the process of creating these limited edition bottles and I can’t wait for people to taste them - starting with our rich, smoky and sweet Burrell’s Oak Aged Gin which goes on sale this month.”
The gins will only be available from the South Ormsby Estate website alongside the distillery’s well regarded spirits, Burrell’s Dry Gin and Marie Jeanne’s Pink Gin
Burrell’s Oak Aged Gin is described as a traditional juniper led London Dry Gin aged using oak from a tree that fell naturally less than a mile from the distillery on the South Ormsby Estate. Infused with the finest Tahitian vanilla, the whisky-coloured gin carries the classic wood-kissed flavours of aged spirits such as vanilla, caramel, toast and oak. The spirit is strictly limited to 150 bottles, and when it’s gone, it’s gone.
