Langtins expands confectionery range with mini-cone treats

Langtins, a confectionery production company with three sub-brands, has just launched a new snack brand, Coneys, inspired by one of ice cream’s most recognisable elements, the chocolate-filled cone at the end.

Designed to translate the appeal of ice cream beyond peak summer months, Coneys delivers the familiar combination of crisp wafer and smooth chocolate in a freezer-free format, allowing retailers to tap into ice-cream-led demand all year round.

It is universally popular that the end of an ice cream cone is the best part. Coneys have tapped into this by creating an innovative snack that is guaranteed to be a popular snack choice.

The launch range includes vanilla, chocolate and strawberry, with additional units in coconut, double chocolate and double chocolate with strawberry.

Each pack contains 6 bite-sized filled waffle cones, made with a crisp cone shell and a creamy, fruity centre, retailing from £2.50 for one pack, £10 for 4 packs, £18 for 8 packs and £24 for twelve packs.

Ibrahim Sidat, founder of confectionery brand Langtins, comments, “With ice cream remaining a highly seasonal category, we identified a clear opportunity to translate a well-loved component into an ambient product that works year-round.”

Coneys aims to address a gap in the UK market by offering a product that captures the same indulgent cues without the need for frozen storage. Similar products have already launched in the US with big success, but Coneys is the only one currently in the UK market.

Their format is positioned between confectionery and biscuits, targeting consumers who want a lunchtime treat, evening snack or for a special occasion.

This isn’t your regular product; it is something new to the market that taps into the high demand among trend-driven consumers wanting to experience fan favourites.

Ibrahim Sidat comments, “Not only does our product cater to consumer preferences, but it also allows retailers to retain ice-cream-style appeal outside peak summer months while maintaining simplicity in storage and supply.”

Retailers have the opportunity to stock a wide range of confectionery products that bring innovation and consumer buzz to the shelf.

Coney’s is currently stocked in retailers across the UK.
