JJ Foodservice launched a range of seven essential herbs and spices for customers to purchase as part of their expanding range.

The range includes Paprika, Red Pepper Flakes (both from £2.29 for 300g), Garlic Powder (from £2.99 for 300g), Mint, Oregano (both from £1.29 for 120g), Cumin (from £1.79 for 300g) and Black Pepper Powder (from £3.29 for 300g).

The launch coincides with new stricter Government rules in a bid to reduce the spread of coronavirus in the UK, which could see an increase in home-cooking.

Chief product officer for JJ Foodservice, Sezer Ozkul, said: “Herbs and spices were one of the most important grocery items purchased during the last lockdown.

“Our new herb and spice packs are smaller than catering tubs – but still larger than retail packs – all for a fraction of the price,” said Ozkul.

“We expect store cupboard essentials to be in high demand.”
