Quorn expands Vegan Deli range with new Pepperoni product

Leading meat free brand Quorn has added its first Vegan Pepperoni product to its popular Deli range.

Vegan Pepperoni Slices (100g, RRP: £2.20) joins Smoky Ham Free Slices and Chicken Free Slices in the range, which has delivered £21.4 million in sales since its launch in 2018, growing at a whopping 64 per cent year on year.

“Interest in vegan diets continues to build momentum. We launched the Quorn Vegan Deli range to meet this demand by providing quick, tasty and sustainable options for lunchtime sandwiches and salads and convenient evening meals,” said Gill Riley, marketing director at Quorn Foods UK.

“Vegan Deli products are growing significantly, from a value of £1.9m in 2018 to £15.5m this year, and it’s because of this success that we’re introducing a Vegan Pepperoni to the Quorn Deli range, offering shoppers more choice and opening up the category.”.

Quorn’s Vegan Pepperoni Slices are ideal for hot lunchtime sandwiches and perfect as a delicious, vegan pizza topping.

Quorn said the new product launch will act as a signpost for vegan shoppers, whilst inviting new shoppers into the Vegan Deli category, driving frequency and penetration for retailers.

“Shoppers are looking for products that are tasty, convenient, quick to prepare at home and have the added benefit of being good for the planet. The Quorn Vegan Deli Range gives retailers an opportunity to provide an alternative solution that is sustainable and exciting,” Gill commented.
