Jisp signs up 100 stores in NFRN partnership

Grocery shopping app Jisp has exclusively signed up 100 stores as part of its collaboration with The Federation of Independent Retailers (NFRN).

“It’s a fantastic achievement that we are very proud of, as we go from strength to strength with The Federation,” Ilann Hepworth, managing director of Jisp, said.

Retailers are starting to recognise the benefits of our solutions with the increasing number of orders coming through every day, and we are definitely fulfilling our mission on becoming the big voice for small businesses”.

Jisp launched its partnership with NFRN in May 2020 during which six stores trialled its delivery and collection services, including an exclusive contact-free in-store shopping solution that allows customers to negate queues by scanning QR codes and barcodes to add products and checkout seamlessly through the app.

Stuart Reddish, national president of NFRN, said: “Covid-19 has dramatically changed the way that customers shop and independent retailers cannot afford to stand still when it comes to enhancing the shopping experience and building loyalty. That’s why we have been delighted to partner with Jisp and enable members to take their businesses to the next level by offering home delivery, scan & go and click & collect.”

The app said it takes 0% commission or transaction fees, and provide a wealth of in-app promotions, gamification features and free social media support to build better engagement between store owners and their customers.

Jisp added that the NFRN retailers have seen an increase of over 400% in sales as well as over 500% increase in items per basket, compared to the industry average, since their launch with the app.

“We’ve been very happy with our journey with Jisp so far. We’d been taking home delivery orders over the phone for the past year, but Jisp is so much more efficient to use,” commented Jacqui Dales, the owner of London Road Bakery in Boston, Lincolnshire.

“The system is very user friendly both for customers and for us in store. The customer service that we’ve received from the Jisp team has been really outstanding and they have patiently added lots of our own products to the system. We are a bakery so produce a lot of items from scratch, and it is great to be able to have them available on the app and gives us a real point of difference.”
