    Jay Cooper, Mondelez International

Mondelēz International has today announced the appointment of Jay Cooper as President, Northern Europe. Jay will be responsible for Mondelēz International’s businesses in the UK, Ireland, Norway, Sweden, Finland and Denmark, where Mondelēz International manufactures and sells some of Europe’s leading brands including Cadbury, Oreo, Maynards Bassetts, Ritz, belVita, Freia and Maribou.

Since joining the company, Jay, a 20-year Mondelēz International veteran, has successfully led biscuit, chocolate, and confectionery businesses both in the US and internationally. Most recently he held the position of Senior Vice President of Growth for North America. He brings to the role a consistent track record of commercial performance, building the company’s marketing capabilities, delivering top-tier marketing activity and producing best-in-class digital and social marketing.

Jay replaces Clive Jones, who takes on a new role within the business as President Central Europe, EU Central Sales & Global Licensing. Clive will be responsible for Mondelēz International’s businesses in Central Europe, which span more than 20 markets.

“I’m delighted to lead one of Northern Europe’s largest, most admired companies, home to iconic brands including Cadbury, Oreo and Freia,” said Jay. “The business continues to deliver strong growth year-on-year, investing in our operations, colleagues and best-loved brands. I’m looking forward to building on this success, responding to changing customer expectations in a dynamic policy environment.”
