Heat up your hayfever sales with Fisherman’s Friend

As the Met Office warns of rising pollen levels in the weeks ahead due to milder weather, Fisherman’s Friend is urging retailers and pharmacists to stock up on its popular menthol and eucalyptus lozenges to meet anticipated shopper demand this hay-fever season. With an abundance of flavours available, Q1 ex-factory sales are up +28.6 per cent vs LY.

“The arrival of spring and summer is usually greeted with mixed emotions by hay-fever sufferers,” said Regional Business Manager Jon R White. “On the one hand, people can’t wait to bask in the warmer temperatures but on the other, it can wreak havoc with hay-fever symptoms such as sneezes, itchy eyes and headaches and put a damper on everyday activities.

“Now is the time to stock the right brands as shoppers are on the hunt for relief products. With a range of 10 fruity and minty variants, there’s a friend for everyone and our strong start to the year reinforces that Fisherman’s Friend is the go-to and trusted lozenge for shoppers.

“One of the reasons for this is because our lozenges contain up to a third more menthol than rival brands. For years, menthol has been used to keep breath fresh and airwaves clear, helping to provide rapid relief from a blocked nose. This means they are a must-have item during the hay-fever season and beyond and we urge retailers and pharmacists to stock up with the brands and products consumers want – so they can take full advantage of the sales opportunity.”
