A man robbed a convenience store after throwing petrol on a staff member and threatening them with a lighter and a knife, stated Humberside police.
The incident happened at a shop on Beechwood Avenue in Grimsby in the morning hours of Tuesday (9) when a man reportedly entered the shop and threw petrol at a staff member before threatening him with a knife and a lighter.

“Those in the local area can expect to see officers in the community today carrying out enquiries and offering reassurance and I would encourage anyone with concerns to please speak to them.
“We are appealing to anyone who witnessed the robbery, or has any information that may assist our investigations, to please get in touch.”
