Nisa Local

Family-run South Wales retailer Griffiths Forecourts has signed a new five-year supply agreement with Co-op Wholesale, reinforcing a long-term partnership built on trust, quality and shared values.

Operating three thriving Nisa Local convenience stores – in Llantwit Fadre, Bridgend and their newest site in Miskin near Pontyclun– Griffiths Forecourts has been serving local communities for generations.

The business remains family-owned, with directors Brett and Daniel Griffiths continuing the tradition of delivering great service, quality products and strong community connections.

The renewed agreement with Co-op Wholesale will see Griffiths Forecourts continue to benefit from an extensive product range, including the trusted Co-op own brand.

This range is highly valued by customers for its quality, breadth and ethical sourcing credentials, enabling the stores to stand out in their local markets while offering excellent value.

Griffiths Forecourts commitment to its communities is also reflected in its support for Co-op Wholesale’s Making a Difference Locally (MADL) charity.

The business has raised more than £40,000 for local causes, with recent beneficiaries including Gelli Life for Living (£300), RCT Performance Swimming Club (£400), 1st Pontyclun Scout Group (£500), BLT Foodhub (£500) and Gwaunmelsgyn Primary School (£250).

Brett and Daniel Griffiths, Directors of Griffiths Forecourts, said, "Our relationship with Co-op Wholesale has been mutually beneficial, and this new five-year deal is a testament to the strength of that partnership.

"The Co-op own brand is a huge part of our offer – our customers love the quality and variety, and it helps us deliver the value they expect. We’re proud to be building on our family’s legacy while continuing to evolve our stores for the future."

Paul Webster, Partnerships & Sales Director at Co-op Wholesale, added, "Griffiths Forecourts is a fantastic example of a family business that’s grown and thrived while staying rooted in its local communities.

"Their long-standing commitment to quality and service mirrors our own values, and we’re delighted to be working together for another five years to support their continued success."
