    Expo Foods joins Sugro UK

    Wholesale company Expo Foods has joined Sugro UK, the member-owned buying and marketing group comprising over 90 independent wholesalers.

    Based in Doncaster with an additional depot in London, Expo Foods (Midlands) has been trading since 2008. The cash & carry as well as delivered wholesaler offers a wide range of ethnic impulse, ambient grocery, alcohol and dairy products, as well as fruits, vegetables, processed meat and fish to its customers.

    The recruitment of Expo Foods (Midlands) by Sugro has added £13 million to the group’s existing buying power of over £2 billion.

    Gokhan Koseoglu, director of Expo Foods (Midlands), said, “We joined Sugro for directly contacting suppliers, to find out best deals with the support of Sugro’s buying team. We are also planning to extend our product range. l believe that Sugro’s extensive supplier base and members network will help us achieve our growth targets. We believe we will build a strong and long-term relationship with the Sugro family.”

    Sugro business development manager Shruti Senapati added, “We are delighted to welcome Expo Foods (Midlands) to the dynamic Sugro family. We look forward to working with and supporting them to take benefit of our excellent terms, promotions and marketing alongside supplier engagement opportunities to help them grow and diversify their business.”
