EMILY launches crunchy Apple Crisps for cake-baking

Snacking brand EMILY is launching catering-size bags of their Apple Crisps after the healthy treat trends as a fan-favourite ingredient during the lockdown baking boom.

Home baking has seen value sales growth of 49 per cent whilst at the same time, the EMILY team witnessed sales for their unique vacuum fried apple pieces increase by over 45 per cent. The trade now has the opportunity to buy the healthier and more sustainable alternative to traditional baking additions in bulk via their trade website and Amazon.

According to Shopper Intelligence UK, 52 per cent of bakers were looking for new and different ingredients in the past year, and the EMILY team have seen evidence of this first hand.

“It’s amazing to see the innovative ways people have been using EMILY Apple Crisps on social media – from decorating cakes and topping breakfast bowls, to including in flapjacks, cookies, pies and crumbles,” says Victoria Harrison, Head of Marketing for EMILY. “People are looking for healthier and versatile baking ingredients and our simple, delicious apple pieces clearly fit the bill” she adds.

The 2-time Great Taste Award-winning product, made from real slices of red and green apples, is high in fibre, gluten-free, contains no added sugar and is Vegan Society certified.

Fans love EMILY’s bold ethics too, the brand was recently awarded B Corporation status. “Our B Corp certification proves that we have the highest standards of social and environmental performance, accountability and transparency,” says Harrison.
