Delice to Go food-to-go with sandwiches, salads, and hot drinks solution
  • Delice de France proactively helping retailers seize opportunities in surging food-to-go sector
  • Expanded range includes chilled sandwiches, salads, heat-to-eat products
  • Also available: new monthly rental hot drinks concept

Bread and bakery brand Delice de France, is helping retailers and hospitality outlets seize opportunities within the surging food-to-go market by making its debut in the chilled ready-to-eat category and launching a new Delice to Go proposition.

Delice to Go is a fully branded, modular concept that features a comprehensive range of hot, chilled, and ambient grab-and-go products. The launch positions Delice de France at the forefront of evolving consumer demand for convenient and high-quality meals.

The concept provides complete merchandising solutions for ambient bakery, chilled displays, hot food-to-go units, and a premium bean-to-cup coffee offer, all under a fully branded fascia.

New chilled range

At the heart of the offer is Delice de France's significant expansion into the chilled food category. This includes eight chilled sandwiches, three vibrant salads, and a range of seven heat-to-eat products, including paninis, toasties, and wraps. Vegan and vegetarian options are available.

Key products include Chicken, Bacon Mayonnaise Sandwich; Coronation Chicken Sandwich; Chicken Salad Sandwich; and a Tuna Cucumber Sandwich, all presented in Delice to Go’s premium packaging.

The salads – Chicken and Pesto Pasta, Houmous and Falafel Mezze, and Tuna Pasta Salad – are provided in a wide-base salad bowl for maximum visibility. In hot food, the heat-to-eat range features three paninis – including Ham and Cheese, Tuna Melt, and Chicken Balti – an All Day Breakfast wrap, and an indulgent trio of croques in Five Cheese; Chicken and Chorizo; and Ham and Cheese varieties.

Each chilled product has a minimum shelf life of four days, helping outlets reduce the chance of food waste.

Customers can place their chilled orders, either alongside their usual frozen bakery or independently, via the company’s webshop. Chilled orders operate on a day-one-for-day-three delivery lead time, with a 12pm cut-off.

Total food-to-go solution

Outlets have the flexibility to either sell Delice’s chilled products as part of their existing food-to-go displays or as part of the Delice to Go concept. The proposition takes a category-managed approach to product ranging, with a supporting range of sweet bakery lines, such as morning goods for breakfast, sweet treats for lunch, and cookies, wrapped cake bars, and muffins for afternoon treats.

The Delice to Go menu also offers a wider range of hot food, including savoury pastries, turnovers, and breakfast rolls. For lunch, there’s a selection of savoury slices, sausage rolls, burgers and potato wedges.

Complementing this, retailers can also offer Café Delice, the business’s new monthly rental hot drinks concept. This comprehensive bean-to-cup solution includes a fully automatic machine, linked milk cooler, branded housing unit, and menu, complete with product and waste storage areas.

Partner outlets will receive insight-led time-of-day planograms and a customised full suite of PoS materials, including a branded fascia if required. The Delice team can also advise on optimising preparation areas for efficiency, as well as provide insightful product information and baking tips.

“With the launch of our new chilled range and Delice to Go solution, retailers and hospitality outlets can now rely on us to cover every element of their food-to-go offering with trusted, quality products that are the proven bestselling varieties within their segments,” said Thierry Cacaly, CEO, Delice de France.

“Backed by decades of market insight, Delice to Go is the product of our leading food crafting expertise and unrivalled knowledge of managing food operations around the clock.

“With products designed to tap into leisure occasions and appeal to busy shoppers on the go, outlets can have the confidence that our new proposition offers something for every one of their customers.”

Delice to Go has a 12-week installation timeline from order to outlet launch. Based on requirements, Delice de France estimates partner outlets could turnover approximately £200k a year.
