Three thugs used a crowbar to break into a convenience store in Coseley Dudley Metropolitan Borough of West Midlands in the early morning of Sunday (12) and fled away stealing cash, cigarettes and tobacco.

The raiders were caught on camera as they pulled the metal shutter up and smashed their way into the One Stop Shop in Coseley. According to local reports, the tracksuit-clad trio were all wearing gloves and disguised their faces.

They arrived at the Bridge Street shop during early morning. One of them was carrying a huge builders bag, which they used for their loot, stated reports.

Two of the men went inside after smashing the glass door panel, while the third paced the pavement and kept watch. Within 60 seconds, one of them reappeared, dragging the bag full of stolen goods, with the other closely behind. All three run off, with the whole incident lasting around two minutes.

Footage from inside the store shows the two men climb through the bottom door panel and jump over the counter. They pulled drawers of cigarettes out and stuffed them into their bag, before throwing the empty trays on the floor.

West Midlands Police has appealed for anyone with inofrmation about the raid to get in touch.

“Shortly after 4.30am on 12 February, we were called to a shop n Bridge Street, Coseley,” a force spokesman said. “A number of men were heard breaking into the shop, making off with a large quantity of cigarettes, tobacco and cash.”
