    Burgess Pet Care strengthens team with marketing appointments

    Burgess Pet Care, one of the UK’s leading independent pet food manufacturers, is delighted to announce several new appointments to its marketing team, as it continues to strengthen its brand and market presence.

    With over a decade’s marketing experience, Claire Douthwaite has joined the Yorkshire-based business as brand manager. Claire is responsible for ensuring the Burgess Excel brand continues to be the leading choice for animal lovers, whilst helping to educate and support the welfare of all small animals.

    Other appointments include digital marketing executive Kealy Guest, who brings four years’ experience to her new role; Alex Barnes as graphic designer; Anna Malina, export marketing executive; and, social media executive, Erin McNair.

    Nathan White has also joined Burgess as marketing executive for Excel Runaround, which provides spaces for rabbits, guinea pigs and other small animals to run, jump, explore, and hide, enabling them to express their natural behaviours. Bringing five years’ experience to the role, Nathan will oversee the website, social media, and marketing campaigns for the Excel Runaround brand.

    Peter Lancaster, head of marketing at Burgess Pet Care, said: “We’re delighted to welcome Claire, Kealy, Alex, Anna, Erin and Nathan to Burgess Pet Care. They have all quickly proven their ability and commitment to their new roles, and also share our passion for responsible pet ownership and pets’ health and wellbeing.
