Britvic announces two senior appointments, bolsters GB commercial leadership team

    Ben Parker

Britvic has announced two new internal appointments, strengthening its commercial teams. Ben Parker has been promoted to GB Commercial Director for Retail, with his new role spanning grocery and convenience, while Dino Labbate moves into the role of GB Commercial Director for Hospitality and into the GB Executive leadership team.

“Under Ben’s leadership in his former role, Britvic has gone from strength to strength within grocery, particularly at a time when the Covid-19 pandemic has increased challenges and a great deal of problem solving and quick-thinking has been required,” said Paul Graham, GB Managing Director at Britvic. “His skills now see him take on the convenience channel as GB Commercial Director for Retail, helping Britvic continue to grow in this sector and navigate the changing landscape.”

Coming up to six years with Britvic, Parker previously held the role of At-Home Commercial Director, following experience as the lead on the Tesco/Booker account.

    Dino Labbate

Labbate joined Britvic as Account Director in 2018, working with Sainsbury’s and Morrisons, before heading up the Tesco/Booker relationship. His new role will see him bring his passion and skills to the hospitality channel.

“As the hospitality sector regains its stride, I have no doubt Dino will lead the channel with the skill and acumen he is known for, using the knowledge from his previous roles to create growth for Britvic and our hospitality partners alike,” added Graham. “From unlocking opportunity for our latest dispense innovations, to expanding brands such as Plenish and Aqua Libra within the channel, Dino will be focussed on maintaining our soft drinks leadership and expanding our footprint.”

Labbate said: “Soft drinks are pivotal to the future of pubs, bars, restaurants, and the wider hospitality sector. Britvic’s broad range of brands offer solutions for not only non-drinkers, but those who enjoy mixed drinks and cocktails, providing outlets with opportunity to grow their revenues. I look forward to working closely with our existing strategic partners, in addition to creating new opportunities to excite consumers, and championing Britvic as a beacon for soft drinks innovation and hospitality excellence.”

Ben Parker said of his new role that, “Following three years heading up the commercial team across the grocery channel, I look forward to bringing my experience and learnings to convenience. The channel is rapidly evolving and brings a wealth of opportunity for us at Britvic. In turn, we have the chance to help retailers achieve their own growth plans and work together to deliver excellence, getting ahead of shopper demand and providing products that meet changing needs.”

    Both roles take immediate effect.
