Bottlegreen partners with Bake Off winner in new campaign

    Peter Sawkins

Adult-focused soft drink bottlegreen has unveiled a new campaign to support its range of cordials, alongside the launch of a new flavour variant.

The brand will be teaming up with Peter Sawkins, winner of The Great British Bake Off 2020, this summer to showcase the versatility of its flavoursome cordials through inspiring food and drink recipes.

Sawkins, the youngest winner in the history of the show, knows first-hand how bottlegreen cordials can elevate flavour, having featured the brand’s elderflower cordial in one of his bakes during last year’s series.

Running through until the end of the summer, the activations as part of the campaign will comprise the development of three bespoke baking recipes, each featuring a different bottlegreen cordial as the signature ingredient, and a collection of ‘drinkable desserts’, each showcasing a different variant from the bottlegreen range.

“Bottlegreen cordials are a hugely convenient and adaptable way to incorporate vibrant and interesting flavours into recipes. I discovered this myself first-hand last year and am now happy to be sharing these easy-to-make recipes which showcase the versatility of bottlegreen in the kitchen,” Sawkins said.

The Sawkins partnership will benefit from significant PR support across press and social media, engaging both brand loyalists and new consumers.

Building on the success of January’s launch of bottlegreen bramble sparkling pressé, a cordial variant of the same flavour is being rolled out this spring. Juicy Bramble combines rich blackberries and tart sloes to deliver a perfectly balanced taste.

Jo Hussey, head of soft drinks at bottlegreen, said: “This campaign is all about demonstrating bottlegreen’s wide range of uses, and there’s no better way than working with Peter who is so passionate about getting creative with flavour. The activity aims to inspire those familiar with our brand with new and exciting ways to use bottlegreen cordials and engage new audiences to showcase how flavourful and versatile our products are.”
