Booker, the UK’s leading food and drink wholesaler, is set to host two major festivals for symbol retailers across its symbol groups this spring- the Beer and Cider Festival (starts week commencing 19th May for eight weeks) and the Wine Festival (begins week commencing 28th April for three weeks).

Available across Premier, Londis, Family Shopper and Budgens, both festivals will showcase a diverse selection of top beverages, alongside exclusive deals and exciting new product launches.

These events provide symbol retailers with unique opportunities to increase sales and offer great value to their consumers.

The Wine Festival will feature a curated selection of popular wines, including brands like La Vieille Ferme and I Heart Prosecco, along with new product launches and expanded ranges.

Consumers will have the chance to explore a variety of reds, whites, and sparkling wines—all at exceptional prices. Retailers will benefit from exclusive promotions, discounted multipacks, and strong margins on key wine lines, helping them maximise sales during the event.

With around 170 lines available, Booker is helping retailers drive value through its Mega Deals while also highlighting innovation through a strong pipeline of new product development (NPD). Among the exclusive selections for Booker’s symbol group customers are standout wines like Andrew Peace Masterclass and Wairau Cove.

Beer and Cider Festival: Following closely, the Beer and Cider Festival will offer an impressive selection of popular beers and ciders, including Peroni, Stella, Corona, Leffe, Strongbow, Kopparberg, Thatcher’s, and more.

Special deals will extend across a variety of premium beverages, with multipack bundles for brands like Cruzcampo, Heineken, Madri, San Miguel, and 1664 Bierre. Retailers will enjoy excellent margins on key product lines, including premium pints and 440ml cans, to help drive sales during the event.

Premier and Family Shopper retailers will offer over 200 lines across lager, ale, craft, cider, and premium drinks, including regional brands. Backed by Booker’s strong value proposition and footfall driving Mega Deals, these curated ranges boost basket spend and keep consumers returning, with exciting additions for Booker’s symbol group customers such as Brewdog Orange Crush.

Both festivals are designed to cater to all tastes, from refreshing pints to chilled ciders and a broad selection of wines, ensuring consumers have access to great value and a range of products they’ll love.

Retailers will also receive promotional support, including additional leaflets highlighting the best deals and products.

Colm Johnson, Booker’s Retail Managing Director, said, “We’re excited to bring both the Wine and Beer & Cider Festivals to our symbol group stores, offering consumers fantastic selections of wines and beverages at great prices.

"These events are a great opportunity for retailers to offer exclusive deals, boost sales, and introduce consumers to new favourites.”
