Bonds of London product receives Great Taste award

Bonds of London said its I Like Pina Colada gummy sweets share bag has been awarded a Great Taste Award.

Launched to market in June 2022, the distinctive pineapple and coconut flavoured gummy sweet will now be decorated with the unmistakable black and gold Great Taste logo.

The judges commented: “We loved the fun yellow and green colours of these jelly sweets. The aroma was enticingly of coconut and rum and we were instantly reminded of Pina Coladas and the beach.

“The texture means you really need to chew the sweet, which in turn distributes the flavours fully around your mouth. Not oversweet, but the coating sugar gives a good extra crunch, sweetness & fizz.”

The product sits with other popular cocktail inspired sweets in the Bonds ‘Tipples’ themed range of share bags, which includes ‘Shakin It From Mo Head to Mojitoes’, mojito flavour gummies and ‘Let the Good Times Be Gin’, Rhubarb Gin flavour gummies, which also received a Great Taste award in 2021.

“We are so pleased to have received the accreditation from Great Taste for our Bonds branded I Like Pina Colada sweets, they have quickly become one of our most exciting and popular products and it is great to see them being received so well by both our customers and the judges,” Helen Bradshaw, sales & marketing director at World of Sweets, said.

“Following last year’s Great Taste one star for our Let The Good Times Be Gin share bags, it is really exciting to be able to bring customers and retailers a range of sweets that have the stamp of excellence.

“The award is a true reflection of the amazing work from everyone in the product development team and the hard work they put in to ensure  they create the most exciting and delicious confectionery possible.”
