Bio-D expands into personal care

British manufacturer Bio-D, trusted by consumers for over 35 years for its range of effective and environmentally responsible cleaning products, has expanded into the personal care category with the launch of its new fragrance free Allergy UK approved range of shampoo, hair conditioner, body wash and bubble bath.

The new collection marks a major step for the brand, extending its experience and expertise in creating products that are not only high-performance but are also eco-friendly and gentle on sensitive skin.

Independent retailers can source Bio-D’s new personal care collection via wholesalers including CLF, Suma, Infinity, Essential, Wholefoods Ireland and Independent Irish from March.

Independent retailers can also source the new personal care collection via a small business trade account on the Bio-D website.

Available at Ethical Superstore, Big Green Smile and Babipur alongside the Bio-D website, www.biod.co.uk, the range has been designed to meet growing consumer demand for allergy-conscious products that are kind to both your skin and the planet.

Bio-D’s managing director, Lloyd Atkin, said: “The launch of our new personal care range represents a natural evolution for Bio-D - extending our ethos from household and homeware to personal care is the next step in helping families live more consciously in all aspects of their lives.

“Having received regular requests from consumers for a personal care range, we have spent time perfecting the formula of each product to create a collection that aligns with our values and that we’re confident users will reach for again and again.”

Each product in the new personal care range has been approved by Allergy UK, confirming that they are unlikely to cause a reaction and are beneficial for allergy sufferers, based on expert opinion.

With 12 other products already approved by Allergy UK, Bio-D has seen a continuous increase in demand for its allergy-friendly, fragrance free options.

This growth in demand chimes with predictions that 2026 will see the number of people living in the UK with an allergy increase to one in two. Allergies already cost the NHS more than £900 million a year to manage.*
