    Applications open for GroceryAid’s Winter Heating Grant

    Industry charity GroceryAid has invited applications for its Winter Heating Grant, which supports low-income households to meet the increasing cost of heating bills this winter.

    Eligible applicants could receive a grant of £150 per household. The criteria include:

    • Currently employed in the grocery industry and have been working for the last six months
    • In receipt of an income related benefit such as Universal Credit, Tax Credits or old-style benefits such as ESA
    • Responsible for paying an energy bill. (Gas/ Electric/ Oil)
    • Savings and available balance of all accounts less than £4000.

    Colleagues who have already received a financial grant from GroceryAid since September 2021 will not be eligible for this Winter Heating Grant.

    The charity added that the applications will be closed once the fund has reached its limit, urging those in need to apply fast.
