Two men accused of armed robberies in convenience stores in Norwich are due to appear in court next month.

According to local reports, Jack Gallagher and Kaine Fairweather have been charged with two counts of robbery following armed city raids. The robbers had used a BB gun and large knife to threaten a shop employee, who suffered a minor injury to the face.

The incident happened on June 3 at Bury’s Convenience Store on Aylsham Road, Norwich. A quantity of cash was stolen in the raid.

The following day, three people entered Heigham News and threatened a staff member with an air pistol and a knife. The worker received an injury to the head but did not require medical treatment.

Gallagher and Fairweather are both due to appear at Norwich Crown Court on July 5 in connection with the robberies. Both appeared before city magistrates last week and were remanded in custody. Enquiries are ongoing to identify the third suspect.
