St Neots store donates new rugby kits to local club

Nisa Local St Neots, a convenience store owned and operated by TYS Retail, has donated £500 to St Neots Rugby Club through Nisa’s charity Making a Difference Locally (MADL). The donation will be used to purchase new rugby kits for the club’s youth teams.

“We are delighted to support St Neots Rugby Club,” said Leon Swanwick, store manager. “The club does a great job of providing opportunities for young people in our community to get involved in rugby. We hope our donation will help the club continue to grow and thrive.”

St Neots Rugby Club is a community-based club that has been in existence for over 100 years. The club offers rugby platforms for players of all ages and abilities.

“We are very grateful to Nisa Local for their donation,” said Phil Yates, president of St Neots Rugby Club. “The money will be used to purchase new rugby kits for our youth teams. Our current kits are old and worn out, and they are not representative of the quality of rugby we play at St Neots Rugby Club. The new kits will give our players a sense of pride and belonging, and they will help us to attract new players to the club.”

The donation from MADL is a significant boost for St Neots Rugby Club, which is currently looking to expand its youth development programs.

“We are excited to use this donation to grow our youth development programs,” said Yates. “We believe that rugby is a great sport for young people, and we want to make sure that everyone has the opportunity to get involved.”

Located near Peterborough, Nisa Local St Neots offers a wide variety of groceries, household items, and other convenience products. The store has been a Nisa retailer for over four years and donated over £3,700 into the community through MADL so far.

“We are delighted to be able to support St Neots Rugby Club with this donation,” said Kate Carroll, Nisa’s head of charity. “We believe that it is important to support local communities and we are proud to be able support a Nisa retailer to make a difference to the lives of young people in St Neots.”
