Leading vitamin company Vitabiotics has announced its new two-year charity partnership with food redistribution charity FareShare.
As part of this new initiative, Vitabiotics Wellkid is funding the equivalent of 110,000 meals to FareShare, who redistribute good to eat surplus food, which might go to waste, to a network of 8,500 charities nationwide.
Vitabiotics said this key partnership represents a continuation of its commitment to corporate social responsibility and extends the number of good causes it supports in the field of health.
“At Vitabiotics, we believe in the power of collaboration to make a positive impact and are proud to be supporting FareShare through our Wellkid brand. FareShare is making amazing direct action towards addressing food poverty and spreading the word about the importance of good food and nutrition to communities across the UK,” Tej Lalvani, Vitabiotics chief executive, said.
Kirsty Ford, head of fundraising at FareShare, added: “A huge proportion of the charities within our network support children and families, and they are working harder than ever to help those impacted by the cost of living crisis. The generous support FareShare receives from Vitabiotics will make a huge difference to our mission to get food to people who need it and make a positive difference to children across the country.”
