JJ Foodservice launches own brand campaign

JJ Foodservice is making it easier for customers to find quality products at an affordable price with the launch of an own brand web page.

More than 40 premium brands and food categories developed in-house by the JJ team are visible on the page, including its best-selling Super Crisp Chips, Letsdough bakery, VIVAT water and more than 500 other food, drink, packaging, and cleaning products.

“We want to make it easier for our customers to find affordable, high-quality options against a backdrop of continuous price rises,” said Chief Product Officer, Sezer Ozkul.

Working closely with manufacturers to source ingredients directly, helps JJ buyers to control costs. The result is consistent quality and flavours that you can only find at JJ Foodservice.

More than a third of total sales (36 per cent) came from own-brand products in the financial year ending March 31, 2022, an increase of 20 per cent for the same period, the previous year.

“Our customers are recognising the savings they can make by shopping own-brand,” said Sezer. “We are proud to be able to work with the many of the world’s leading brands together with our own brands to be able to offer our customers a great choice.”

The new web page has been supported with a 20-week social media campaign, promoting a different own-brand family every week until February 2023.

Last month, JJ launched Royal Roast Coffee Beans priced from £4.99 per kg compared with an average price of £10-£17 in the key online retailers and supermarkets.
