One Stop, Co-op win franchising awards

John Miller (C), head of franchise for One Stop, receives the prize at British Franchise Awards

Retailers One Stop and Co-op have won recognitions at the British Franchise Awards.

Organised last week by the trade association British Franchise Association (bfa), the event has seen One Stop winning Silver in the Franchisor of the Year category and Co-op bagging the Emerging Franchisor of the Year award.

One Stop has been the winner of the Emerging Franchisor of the Year award in 2015.

Commenting, John Miller, head of franchise for One Stop said: “We have a strong network that supports our franchisees – from the second they join the brand and every step of their journey with us. Whether that’s with our Business Development Managers that visit partners every four weeks, to our Franchise action line offering support whenever it’s needed.

“We’re committed to making sure every partner is successful – we treat our franchisees the same as we do our company owned stores. Our franchise success is from our great relationships with our business partners, and we understand how much work they put into what they do. It’s thanks to them that we are in this position.”

Pip Wilkins, bfa chief executive, said: “There have been incredible displays of commitment to franchising over the last year. I have been overwhelmed by the resilience of the industry and how so many have come together to support one another and their communities.”
