Two retailers win £10,000 each in Camelot prize draw

Bal Kaur, owner of Thirlemere Store in Wakefield, (L) and Raksha Patel, of Mike’s News in Wimbledon

Camelot has awarded two National Lottery retailers with £10,000 each in its Site, Stock, Sell quarterly prize draws.

Raksha Patel, owner of Mike’s News in Wimbledon, and Bal Kaur, of Thirlemere Store in Wakefield, have picked up £20,000 between them for their high in-store standards.

Bal, whose store consistently scores high in the programme, said: “It feels brilliant to have won. When I found out, I was on top of the world. It’s great to be recognised for keeping up the in-store standards of the National Lottery.”

Raksha, who is planning to use the money to take her family on holiday, said: “Having the National Lottery in my store is really important as my customers are loyal players and visit my shop to buy other products. That’s why I really look after the National Lottery and maintain high standards, to keep my players coming back.”

The 10-point Site, Stock, Sell initiative is an in-store standards and rewards programme from Camelot. The programme is also accompanied by a bespoke rewards scheme.
