Walkers, Bestway offer retailers another chance to win a van

As part of its ongoing support of retailers, Walkers has partnered with Bestway to relaunch its Win a Van competition for the sixth year.  For the first time this year, one lucky retailer will have the chance to win an electric van to help them grow their operations in a more sustainable manner.

“Our Win a Van competition has been a huge success in the past, and we want to continue giving back to retailers during challenging times and show our support for the industry,” said Mike Chapman, head of wholesale at PepsiCo. “Bestway is a strategic partner for us, and we work together to communicate new launches and help retailers to navigate the ever-changing savoury snacking landscape. The wholesale channel is key for PepsiCo, and providing useful, ongoing support means that we can help retailers tap into consumer needs and demands to boost their sales.”

“We know that RRP PMPs are the number one contributor to crisps and snacks growth in value, so the competition will focus once again on this format to help retailers drive maximum sales growth.”

The competition will run from 15 September to 9 November and retailers will automatically be entered into the competition when they purchase any qualifying case* of Walkers 48g-82g £1.25 RPP PMPs from Bestway. In addition, Bestway is offering consumers the opportunity to win one of three e-bikes through its Best One retail franchise. To enter, consumers simply have to purchase any qualifying pack** and text to win.

Kenton Burchell, group trading director at Bestway, commented: “After longstanding success with this competition, which saw nearly 60,000 entries last year, we are delighted to be partnering with Walkers again to help support our retail customers to grow their snacking sales. We’re also excited to be offering consumers the opportunity to win one of three e-bikes through our Best One retail stores as part of this campaign.”

Running for six years now, the competition is just one way that Walkers and Bestway have continued to support the wholesale sector, tying in with other initiatives such as Walkers’ Guide to Getting Ready for HFSS which launched last year.
