Plant-based food start up Human Nature has picked up a Great Taste award for its Hot Jalapeño & Lime Lentil Sticks along with another for its Sour cream and Onion flavour.
Terming it as “an innovative product” for their incredible flavour, judges described the product as “very appetising, exciting and moreish and an innovative alternative to traditional crisps.”
Bobby Patel, founder of Human Nature, commented: “We are delighted to have won a Great Taste award for our lentil sticks. Only 28.7 per cent of the products, over 110 countries won a first star award and being recognised with a Great Taste award means so much to independent producers such as myself. But most of all the exposure will help people know our snacks and try them. In this way we can plant a tree with every pack sold and help us reach our target to plant 1 million trees every year!”
Made with only plant-based ingredients, Human Nature’s snacks contain 13g protein, they are a great source of fibre and they have 40 per cent less fats than standard fried crisps.
The range is made up of lentil sticks and pea rings in different flavours.
