Unitas launches two new mini category guides for indie retailers

Unitas Wholesale has launched two new Focus On category guides on summer drinks and sports energy drinks.

‘Focus On’ by Plan for Profit is the new series of mini category guides designed to support independent retailers across the UK, covering emerging and established categories that typically feature in an independent convenience store.

The latest editions highlight the opportunities that the sports energy drinks and summer drinks categories present for independent retailers.

The buying group has partnered with Accolade Wines and Heineken UK for the first cross-category Focus On guide ‘summer drinks’, to help independent retailers maximise the opportunities for the licensed category throughout the summer months and Lucozade Ribena Suntory to provide key insights on the sports energy drinks category.

“The new ‘Focus On Sports Energy Drinks’ highlights the key opportunities within one of the largest soft drinks segments for independent retailers, and the new ‘summer drinks’ Focus On guide provides expert advice to ensure that they succeed during the summer months, which are key for beers, ciders, wines and spirits sales,” Tracey Redfearn, Plan for Profit category controller, explains.

There are now a total of ten editions of Focus On, available for free now at participating Unitas member wholesalers, and free to download via the Plan for Profit website and app.
