    Suölo announces range of reduced sodium sea salt seasonings

    Smart Salt Retail Ltd has launched the gourmet Suölo range of reduced sodium sea salt seasonings as the food industry is reminded of the dangers of too much sodium intake from salt, which is used both for home cooking and in processed foods such as breakfast cereals, soups, breads, sauces and convenience meals.

    The four-strong seasoning range comes as Salt Awareness Week prepares to launch next week (14 to 20 March) when it will reinforce the deadly threat posed by too much salt in people’s daily diets in the form of heart attacks and strokes.

    Suölo which uses Smart Salt, a patented mineral salt technology from Finland, comes with a 50 per cent reduction in sodium and balance of magnesium and potassium, which have been clinically proven to reduce blood pressure, helping to decrease the risk of coronary heart disease and stroke.

    Initial seasonings in the range include Sea Salt; Sea Salt & Black Pepper; Sea Salt, Black Pepper & Seaweed; and Sea Salt & Black Pepper & Chilli. The Reduced Sodium Sea Salt retails at £4.50 with the rest of the range priced at £4.99 each. Gift boxes and all four seasonings are available exclusively from www.suolo.world.

    For its seaweed product, Smart Salt Retail Ltd has teamed up with PureSea, founded by Dr Craig Rose, aka Doctor Seaweed, whose natural seaweed ingredients have been used in products for the likes of PepsiCo, Marks & Spencer, Premier Foods and many more to boost flavour and enhance nutrition.
