SPAR to launch new line of own-label frozen products

SPAR, the leading symbol group in the UK, is launching a number of new frozen SPAR own label products in line with the category’s year-on-year sales increase.

Following the surge in sales in the frozen category, the SPAR own label team is looking to capitalise on the increased consumer interest in the category by launching five new products this October. The products include range extensions in the frozen potato and vegetable & fruit portfolios which will be available in time for the party season.

Frozen SPAR Curly Fries, SPAR Potato Wedges, SPAR Corn on the Cob, SPAR Raspberries and SPAR Blueberries will be launching in-store from 25 October 2021.

Dave Wright, SPAR UK Brand Manager, said: “With consumers trust in the quality of our SPAR Brand lines, the increase in sales in SPAR stores is predicted to continue as shoppers look for value and look to reduce their food waste. We will look to capitalise on this switch of shopping habits by bringing added interest to the range with these five new product lines.”

The new SPAR Brand frozen products will be supported in-store with POS as well as featuring on SPAR digital channels.

New frozen SPAR Brand lines include:

    SPAR Potato Wedges 750g £1.00
    SPAR Curly Fries 700g £1.50
SPAR Corn on the Cob 600g £1.35
    SPAR Raspberries 400g £2
    SPAR Blueberries 400g £2
