Locals and commuters alike can delight in the brand new £1.5 million SPAR store that’s just opened in the Phoenix Park area of Nottingham. That’s because alongside an extensive range of convenience products, shoppers will find a Greggs and a Subway franchise.

The small seating areas – inside and out – mean commuters can use the store as a pit stop while locals can use it for meeting up with family and friends. The Greggs and Subway will be joined by other food-to-go favourites – F’Real milkshakes, I Squeeze fresh juice and Tango Ice Blast slushies – soon.

Shoppers are also offered a great range of grocery, snacking, beers, wines and spirits, toiletries, baby, pet food and household items – from all the big brands as well as the award-winning SPAR own brand range. In addition, there is a fantastic range of quality meats from County Bridge offering families amazing value, and the local family run craft bakery Adkins Bakery also has space within the store providing freshly baked products every morning to customers.

The store also provides a free-to-use ATM. With green initiatives so important to consumers, the new store incorporates sensory lighting, LED lights and doors on chillers. Electric vehicle charging points will be installed in the autumn.

Backing on to the busy A610, the new 2,960sqft SPAR is easy to find as it sits on the site of a former children’s soft play centre on the Nottingham Road. And it has extensive car parking with space for 22 vehicles.

Matt Teague, Managing Director of Blakemore Retail, said: “It is fantastic to open our latest SPAR store here at Phoenix Park in Nottingham. We are delighted with how the store has been designed – the new look and feel is fresh and modern. The store’s entire range is everything commuters and the local community of Phoenix Park will need from a convenience store making it the first choice for shoppers.

“The vast range of convenience goods available from the store as well as the addition of Greggs and Subway make it perfect for local residents and commuters. The store is a great addition to the area.”

SPAR Phoenix Park employs 46 local colleagues and is located at 205 Nottingham Road, Nuthall, Nottingham NG16 1AE.
