Snappy Shopper partners with Trust Payments

Snappy Shopper, the home delivery app serving convenience stores, has teamed up with Trust Retail, part of the Trust Payments Group and one of the UK’s leading EPOS suppliers, to integrate its technology with Snappy Shopper retailers, as part of the latest efforts from the delivery app in its continued efforts to aid its retailers’ growth.

Following on from similar partnering integrations and driven by its unwavering dedication to supporting retailer growth, the partnership allows Snappy Shopper’s retailers to achieve quicker deliveries and control a bigger and more relevant store range to aid improved basket spend and all-round store efficiency. This is achieved by Trust Payments’ ability to offer retailers real-time stock checking, pricing and sales updates to reduce retailer time spent on administrative tasks which will in turn, free up hours to deliver a better customer experience to drive repeat orders and store loyalty.

As well as this, Trust Payments’ extensive experience in non-grocery sectors means retailers can harness this versatility for a more extensive store offering. Something that is perfectly aligned with Snappy Shopper's wider business model of collaborating with a varied range of high street stores to create a 'digital high street.'

"Trust Payments has long been recognised as one of the leading EPOS providers and thought leaders to act upon data insights," said Mike Callachan, Founder & Chief Executive Officer at Snappy Shopper. "Our shared mindset highlights our commitment to local retailers by providing an incredibly powerful platform service that allows them to maximise both their in-store performance as well as their customers' online shopping behaviours.”

Mike Dotson, Managing Director – Trust Retail, added: "Our partnership with Snappy Shopper is a major development within convenience delivery and will undoubtedly make a real difference to retailers and the wider communities that they serve. Snappy Shopper’s vision for the future of retail is something that is exciting to now be a part of.”

Bira (the), which represents 6,000 independent retailers across the UK, says the extension of waste electrical and electronic equipment (WEEE) regulations will finally create a level playing field between high street and online sellers.

"Electrical equipment like vapes are being sold in the UK by producers who are failing to pay their fair share when recycling and reusing of dealing with old or broken items," announced circular economy minister Mary Creagh on December 10. The research suggests that a collective £634m was spent on Small Business Saturday in-store and online. The survey of 4,000 adults revealed average spend per person on the day was the highest since 2020, with top reasons for shopping small including wanting to support business owners on the high street (53 per cent) and recognising that it has been a tough period for small businesses (39 per cent). Encouragingly, seven in 10 (70 per cent) adults surveyed said they will continue to shop small next year because of the positive impact these businesses have on local communities.
