Snappy Shopper appoints new marketing controller

Snappy Shopper, the online app for shoppers to place orders with local convenience stores, has just appointed Pamela McLaren as its new Marketing Controller.

Launched in Dundee last year, Snappy Shopper is becoming one of the fastest growing businesses in the convenience sector. It’s now approaching 40 employees and having grown from a handful of shops in 2019, Snappy Shopper is now available in 500 stores across Scotland, England, Wales and Northern Ireland.

The Snappy Shopper platform provides local independent retailers with a powerful ecommerce home delivery and Click & Collect solution.

Pamela McLaren joins from Hutchison Technologies where she was head of Sales and helped deliver over £10 million in revenues in three months.

Prior to that, McLaren was Head of Subscriptions at DC Thomson. Her responsibilities included administering strategic projects and B2C marketing programs, building infrastructure for integrated marketing plans, marketing metrics and transformation of all active customers.

Philippe Rondepierre, Marketing Director of Snappy Shopper, said: “I am delighted Pamela has joined us. We wanted an expert to help take the business to the next level and Pamela has all the skills and experience to do that. From day one this business has thought big, driven by an ambition to be one of the UK’s most exciting and dynamic online home delivery companies. Pamela’s appointment is another example of us thinking ahead.”

Pamela McLaren joined as Marketing Controller on 12 October 2020 and is responsible for the development and implementation of the Snappy Shopper marketing strategy, brand and service.
