    Shoplifter fined after stealing four times from Cheshire c-store

    A man in Northwich in Cheshire has been fined after stealing food from the same convenience store four times in just eight days.

    According to recent local reports, David Ian Fletcher, of Main Road in Moulton, appeared in Chester Magistrates’ Court on May 19 for his spate of offending throughout April.

    The court heard how the 37-year-old visited a SPAR store in Northwich on April 20 and stole £50.41 and £56.89 worth of food in two separate incidents. On April 27 the following week, he stole food to the value of £13.28, before returning the next day and stealing food worth £2.19, reports quoted from court’s hearing.

    Fletcher was fined £120 for the offences and was ordered to pay £125.77 in compensation.

    He must also pay a £34 victim surcharge and £85 in court costs, bringing the total amount owed to the court to £364.77.

    Magistrates considered Fletcher’s guilty plea when imposing sentence.
