In a move that marks a major turning point and a significant milestone for its business model, Sandea Wholesale is gearing up to launch its first-ever cash and carry outlet, X’press’d Cash & Carry, in Harrow this September, Asian Trader can exclusively reveal.
With this expansion, Sandea Wholesale is transitioning from a purely delivered model to a hybrid operation, offering both in-person and online access to retailers.
Speaking to Asian Trader exclusively, Priya Virdi, spokesperson and COO of Sandea Wholesale, shared in detail the various features of X’press’d Cash & Carry and the motive behind the move.
Spanning over 3,500 sq. ft. and located at Waverley Industrial Park, Hailsham Drive, the new depot promises ample parking and convenient access for independent retailers and HORECA businesses in the area.
The move signals Sandea’s transition from a purely delivered wholesale model to a hybrid format, designed to offer greater accessibility and service for convenience retailers.
"The decision to open our first cash and carry in Harrow is a natural progression," said Virdi. "Over the years, we’ve built strong relationships with independent retailers through our delivered wholesale service, and many of them expressed a need for a physical location that offers the flexibility to shop on their own schedule."
By opening in Harrow, Sandea Wholesale is not just expanding its physical footprint—it is enhancing access, convenience, and service for its growing retail network.
Harrow was chosen strategically, she added, “because of its diverse, thriving community and high concentration of independent businesses.”
At the cash and carry, retailers can expect a comprehensive product range that reflects the quality and variety Sandea Wholesale is known for.
"The offering will include soft drinks, confectionery, household essentials, and a strong selection of ethnic and world foods—ensuring relevance for a diverse customer base," Virdi said.
"Shelves will be stocked with leading and in-demand brands, including household names such as Nestlé, Haribo, Prime, Lindt, Rose, Coca-Cola, Pepsi, Robinsons, Walkers, Fruit Shoot, Starbucks, Evian, Pringles, Swizzels, and Voss, among many others.
"This curated selection is designed to support independent retailers, convenience stores, and hospitality businesses in delivering what today’s consumers demand—quality, choice, and reliability."
Additionally, retailers can look forward to a range of strong introductory deals and tailored promotions when the store opens in September 2025.
“More details will be revealed in the run-up to the launch,” Virdi confirmed.
