RH Amar to distribute leading snack brand HIPPEAS

Justin Burbage, Commercial Director at RH Amar, welcomes HIPPEAS UK MD, Sam McDonald, and ‘PeneloPEA’ the HIPPEAS tuk-tuk, to the RH Amar Headquarters in High Wycombe

RH Amar has been appointed by chickpea snack company, HIPPEAS, to be its exclusive distributor in the UK with responsibility for all retail channels, supported by the HIPPEAS UK office.

The better-for-you puff snack brand grew 21 per cent globally last year. This is the first time HIPPEAS has been supported in the UK by a dedicated full-service distributor to open up further distribution across the UK market, making it even easier for UK consumers to access the vegan friendly snack. The brand will be further supported in the UK market with an above-the-line ‘Flavour Your Mind’ campaign, which will launch in March.

“We’re delighted to be growing our UK distribution plans in partnership with RH Amar,” said Sam McDonald, HIPPEAS UK MD. “The partnership will allow us to access the fuller UK market across channels that have been underdeveloped over the last few years. RH Amar’s values are similar to our own, and HIPPEAS is a natural fit in their portfolio of fantastic and complimentary brands.”

Justin Burbage, Commercial Director, RH Amar, said: “We’re excited to have been appointed the exclusive UK distributor for HIPPEAS. It is a great addition to the RH Amar portfolio and we look forward to showing the value we can bring, using our sales and channel expertise to open up new opportunities and distribution for the HIPPEAS brand”.

HIPPEAS puffed chickpea snacks are vegan, packed full of protein and fibre and include flavours such as Sweet ‘n’ Smokin, Salt & Vinegar and Take It Cheesy. The company believes that “tastes good” and “do good” go hand in hand and has partnered with local charities since its launch in 2016. This includes supporting the NHS with product donations during the pandemic.

HIPPEAS chickpea snacks are gluten-free, palm-oil and MSG free as well as Non-HFSS compliant.
