Retailers can win a year’s worth of cookies and ‘Mary-land’ makeover for their store

Retailers can win a year’s worth of cookies and ‘Mary-land’ makeover for their store

To celebrate the successful launch of Maryland White Choc earlier this year, Fox's Burtons Company (FBC) is running an exclusive competition for convenience retailers. Five lucky retailers will have the chance to transform their stores into a "Mary-land’" with one of these retailers also winning a grand-prize of a year’s worth of stock. The competition will continue to help retailers make the most of the white chocolate opportunity in store, as the flavour continues to perform strongly, with over a quarter of GB households buying into white chocolate biscuits.

To enter the competition, all retailers need to do is purchase one case of Maryland White Choc and one case of Maryland Choc Chip* from stockists. They then need to text Maryland, their full name, business name and postcode to 85100, and upload a photo of their receipt to be in with a chance of winning. (Texts are charged at standard network rate. Please retain receipt. Internet access required for receipt upload.) If successful, they will receive everything needed to turn their store into a "Mary-land", from branded POS and themed decorations to stock to sample, with one lucky winner also receiving a year’s worth of stock.

"Maryland White Choc has gone down a treat with both shoppers and retailers, and we want to continue the fun – and what better way to do that than by transforming stores across the nation into 'Mary-lands'?" said Colin Taylor, Trade Marketing Director at FBC UK. "This initiative gives retailers the chance to create an immersive shopping experience for their customers. We can't wait to see the creativity and enthusiasm from retailers as they compete for this delicious opportunity.

“The new Maryland White Choc offers shoppers a twist on their favourite cookie and delivers even more choice down the biscuit aisle. Retailers can broaden shopper appeal with the new Maryland White Choc, with white chocolate in biscuits over indexing with younger pre-families and families, so should stock up now alongside Maryland Choc Chip Cookies. ”

This competition coincides with Maryland's return to TV screens, reinforcing the leading cookie brand’s presence in the market. On screens from August 1, the TV advert is set to reaffirm Maryland’s family-focused brand positioning.
