Real Good Ketchup lowers salt to 80% less

Natural and no added sugar ketchup brand, Real Good, is launching new packaging to reflect the brand’s continued commitment to reduce salt across the range.

Promoting a strong health message, the rebranded packaging will show that Real Good’s Ketchup now contains 80 per cent less salt compared to other brands.

Real Good produces a range of no added sugar ketchups and BBQ sauces and is committed to creating healthy products in line with nutritional guidelines.

“Our continued mission is to produce table sauces that are not only delicious, but nutritious too. We are very proud that we have been able to look at our award-winning recipe and further reduce the salt content without affecting its great taste,” said founder Elizabeth Jones.

“Cutting down on salt is incredibly important for our health at any age and switching to lower salt products is a great way to do this. In fact, it is often those little extras that we forget when measuring our salt intake, such as sauces and seasonings, that often contain high levels of added salt. It is a great achievement to be able to widen the gap further with other brands and make Real Good an even healthier option for customers.”

Real Good Ketchup contains 8only 0.32g salt per 100g, in comparison with other brands that contain as much as 1.8g per 100g.

Alongside its award-winning ketchup, Real Good also has two reduced-salt barbecue sauces: its 70 per cent less salt Spicy BBQ sauce and its 60 per cent less salt Smoked BBQ sauce.

Real Good Ketchup is made with naturally-sweet Mediterranean tomatoes for an authentic, tomatoey taste and all ingredients are 100 per cent natural and plant-based. It is also vegan and 14 allergen free.

Real Good’s packaging will change across two formats, the 310g recyclable squeezies (RRP £2.40)
